Campaign: Website

THE CHALLENGE: Develop a site for the latest game in Electronic Arts’ MySims series, as well as support multiple languages and custom content for international markets. Spotlight the irreverent character of the game in an engaging way, and at the same time make the site SEO optimized.

THE SOLUTION: Deadline designed and developed a Flash/HTML hybrid site, integrating in-game videos throughout the fabric of the site, along with all EPK information. The site is organized into top and bottom sections, with the top containing all of the fun elements of the game and the bottom being consistent across all sections, as well as containing all EPK information. The top half of the site features a rotating Flash environment where users can see options for customizing their own car, learn racing strategies, meet the racers and watch videos of in-game play. The bottom section contains EPK information, including info about the game, news, screenshots, wallpapers, buddy icon downloads and more. This hybrid approach provides an exciting and fun preview of the game up top, with easily accessible EPK content below.

THE CHALLENGE: Create a Ringling Bros. game site for kids to keep them engaged in the brand and ensure return visits to the site, as well as educating them about the animals and performers in the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus.

THE SOLUTION: Deadline designed and developed a beautiful, fun and immersive game site where users can Create Their Own Circus. This Flash experience is comprised of six mini-games based on actual Ringling Bros. performances, designed to test balance, memory, timing skills and more. Users train circus animals and performers (including an Elephant, Tiger, Horse, Juggler, Clown and Trapeze Artist), making sure they get enough food and training to stay fit and happy. After training up the animal or performer to a high skill level, they can appear in a full circus performance, which the user can customize and send to their friends. Guests can continue to come back to the game over time to level up and refresh their performances.

Campaign: Brand Identity, Website, and Mobile Site

THE CHALLENGE: To build a site that would combine 3G cellular phone technology with a new fusion of storytelling-media to unify the brand across print, interactive, and mobile platforms. The site had to allow users to access the comic and the promotional site from their computer or iPhone.

THE SOLUTION: Deadline created a thematic logo, an hourglass with wings, that ties the campaign together. Further, we created a H.U.N.T Headquarters site to recruit new ‘agents,’ a.k.a. readers, where they can learn about the organization, watch videos, take a recruitment quiz, receive news, and forward links. As a special feature, iPhone users can download exclusive episodes of the comic from the Apple Store.

Client: Buena Vista Pictures Marketing
Campaign: Theatrical, International and Domestic Home Entertainment Websites, and International and Domestic Online Advertising.

THE CHALLENGE: Create an all-encompassing interactive campaign to promote the film and carry the message seamlessly across all of the digital panels.

THE SOLUTION: The campaign targeted families with children under the age of eleven by using rich media banners, page takeovers, an official site and a promotional site “Bolt Across America”. On opening day, Movietickets.com was skinned to promote Bolt. This takeover included floating banners, rich media streaming video ads and custom backgrounds. The ads in this campaign also included a ticket widget which allowed users to search for show times and locations in the banner. Deadline developed an engaging website by creating a 3D map of the US complete with a fly through to the different locations in the story. At the locations the user is greeted by the characters from the film and introduced to content including a suite of games and promotional campaigns. Deadline carried the campaign through to the Home Entertainment launch and adapted the creative and content to suit the needs of the Home Entertainment audience.
